Mosquitoes Control
It has been claimed that all deaths that have occurred on this planet, 50 % are though diseases by mosquitoes. Till now more than 3500 known species of mosquitoes and the study of fossils suggests the existence of mosquitoes from 46 million years to 100 -110 million years.
The mosquito’s saliva is transferred to the host during the bite and can cause an itchy rash. To Prevent Mosquitoes, the best way is to stop/ control breeding points, The breeding place for Mosquitoes are :-
- Flower pots
- Ponds, marshes, and bogs
- Birdbaths
- Rainwater barrels
- Empty tires or debris in the yard – they can fill up with water after a rain
- Ditches
- Yards
- Heavily shaded areas and long grasses
- Egg to adult stage takes 6 – 10 days.
- Complete metamorphosis – egg, larval, pupa, and adult.

A recent study has concluded that flies are responsible for infecting spinach leaves with E.coli bacteria. The pathogenic bacteria survive on the flies for 13 days once it is picked up via contaminated cattle manure.
Mosquito control can be very difficult but must be attempted to not only rid our homes of annoying bites but also to stop the spread of certain mosquito-borne health problems. In a perfect world, we need only eliminate the breeding grounds of these biting pests. This is easier said than done! Even if you eliminate all possible breeding sites on your personal property, mosquitoes born in other areas will still fly to your part of the world.
Eliminating all possible mosquito breeding sources – standing water, piles of cut grass and fallen leaves, cleaning fence rows of tall grasses and weeds, keeping rain gutters free of leaf litter and other vegetation- is indeed your starting point in an integrated pest management program targeting disease-carrying pests.
A complete mosquito control program not only eliminates breeding sources but also includes long-term prevention (using Mosquito Dunks in birdbaths, fish ponds, drainage ditches or storm drains, lakes, pet water dishes, and other mosquito breeding grounds) and short-term knockdown of mosquito larvae (Mosquito Bits) and adult mosquitoes (fogging areas on your property to kill adult insect pests.) The evening before or the morning of outdoor activities (parties, cookouts, wedding receptions) uses Mosquito & Gnat Scat to help repel any flying insects from the area.
Did you know that male mosquitoes feed on nectar from flowers; it’s only the females who drink our blood? They break the skin and suck up blood with their long mouthparts, leaving us with an itchy bite.
